How do I book an appointment?
Text email or Instagram message for an appointment. Send us any references you may have that show the design, style, or size of the tattoo you are aiming for. And then let us know what days and times work best for you in the time frame you hope to book.
What are your prices/rates?
The shop minimum is $100. We often charge flat rates based on the size and detail of the tattoo. We do an hourly rate for larger projects and that is $150 an hour. For custom designs, we offer estimates on all tattoos once you send your ideas and references.

How should I prepare for my tattoo session?
Be sure to shower on the day of the appointment and do not apply lotion to the area that will be tattooed. Eat a good meal and be sure to hydrate the day before and the day of the appointment. Good rest the night before the session is also important.

How do you ensure cleanliness and safety?
Safety and cleanliness are a top priority we have high standards at Darkest Days, all our artists are licensed through the state of Oregon and we strictly follow the guidelines of the state for safety and cleanliness.
What is your policy on touch-ups?
We do coverups and tattoo revisions, we take them on a piece-by-piece basis. Make inquiries for coverups and revisals the same as any other appointment.
Can I get a tattoo if I’m under 18?
In the state of Oregon, individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to get tattoos, even if they have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. In very specific medical scenarios, you can get a tattoo under 18 if you have a note from a licensed physician.
What is the cancellation policy?

How do I care for my new tattoo?
Here are some quick and simple tips to care for your tattoo:
-
Keep it covered for the first few hours as advised by your tattoo artist.
-
Gently wash the tattoo area with lukewarm water and mild soap, then pat dry.
-
Apply a thin layer of healing ointment or lotion recommended by your artist.
-
Keep the tattoo moisturized and avoid letting it dry out during the healing process.
-
Avoid direct sunlight, swimming, and soaking the tattoo area until fully healed.
-
Do not scratch or pick at the tattoo even if it itches as it heals.
Do tattoos hurt?
Yes, tattoos generally do cause some level of pain, as the process involves puncturing the skin with a needle to deposit ink. The amount of pain experienced can vary greatly depending on the individual's pain threshold, the location of the tattoo, and the tattoo's size and complexity. Areas with more flesh tend to be less painful, while areas with less flesh and closer to bones, such as the ribs, spine, or ankles, tend to be more painful.
